John Weber

President & CEO

John Weber is the President and CEO of Toronto based Take 5 Productions.  John began his film and television career in 1995 working on a vast array of feature films and television productions. In 2009, John started Take 5 Productions and has spent the past 15+ years building Take 5 in to a leading content production company.

John has served as an Executive Producer on over 650 episodes of some of the most popular and acclaimed television dramas. His list of credits include “Vikings”, “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “Strange New Worlds”, “Doc”, “Valhalla”, “The Testaments”, “Star Trek: Discovery”, “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, “Accused”, “Reign”, “Condor” and “Locke & Key”.

As a Producer, John has been awarded six Canadian Screen Awards, an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Producer’s Choice Award, and a Television Critics Award. 

John is a Certified Professional Accountant with a degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is actively involved in the Canadian television industry and is a Board Member and Treasurer of industry association Film Ontario.
